Fight Inequality, Kissan Rabta Committee and Kissan Panchayat jointly organized a tractor rally to demand fair Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for agricultural crops and an end to corporate farming and land grabs.

Farmers participating in the rally raised concerns over government agricultural policies, arguing that the current direction of the sector is placing increasing pressure on small and medium-scale growers.

Speaking to Reporting Resistance, Kissan Panchayat member Ali Behram Gadhi said corporate farming policies were designed to dispossess farmers of their land and transfer control of agricultural resources to large corporations.

He also criticized the government's wheat procurement policies, saying that authorities had failed to procure wheat from farmers at the announced MSP while allocating procurement quotas to private companies. He argued that this had further increased the economic pressure on growers.

Participants demanded that the government establish a fair MSP for all major crops and ensure that the announced prices are implemented effectively. They argued that farmers should receive guaranteed prices that cover the costs of production and provide sustainable livelihoods.

The protesters also opposed the expansion of corporate farming and what they described as the seizure and concentration of agricultural land in the hands of large corporate interests.

Farmers warned that continued policies favoring corporate control and inadequate crop prices could push more growers into debt and economic insecurity. They linked the struggle for fair agricultural policies with the broader issue of food sovereignty, arguing that protecting farmers' livelihoods is essential to protecting the country's food system.
